FTTMWC's Core Values
From The Throne Ministries Worship Center (FTTMWC)Congregational Approach to Spiritual Formation
FTTMWC’s Core Values•We value the Holy Scriptures and its teaching in making disciples including children and youth•We value worshipping God, through singing, dancing, bowing, lifting our hands, music, silent reflection, and meditation•We value prayer and intercession for all of God’s people•We value fellowship in community, and families are in small supportive cell groups to encourage and empower one another•We value outreach and Missional work both locally and abroadFTTMWC’s Way of Life (Core Values)•The Bible: We submit to the authority of the Holy Scripture, we believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God, and we are dedicated to using God's Word to transform our lives, and the lives of everyone around us. As a result, we value the Word of God as we read it, study it, memorize it, meditate on it, proclaim it, use it in worship, receive instruction in it, and apply it to our daily lives, in order to transform our lives for the glory of God.•KEY SCRIPTURE: “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Acts 20:32, NKJV. (Hebrews 4:12; Colossians 3:16; 2 Timothy 2:15; John 5:39; Ephesians 6:17•Worship: We have been created to worship God, which is the ongoing expression of our love, respect, appreciation, and admiration of God. We honor God through our worship and it is a response to who God is and the wonderful things He has done in our lives. Our expression of worship takes various forms: we worship God by knowing Him, serving Him, and obeying Him; we worship and honor God by becoming all He created us to be; we worship God by experiencing His grace that is all sufficient. •KEY SCRIPTURES: “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.” Psalm 40:3. NIV (Psalm 95:6, 96:8-10, Malachi 1:11)•Prayer: We know Prayer is a powerful privilege given to Christians. Through prayer, we exercise our God-given authority to accomplish God’s eternal purposes in the earth. We believe the prayer of faith released from a righteous Christian is effective and powerful; and that strategic prayers unleash God’s power, healing, deliverance, direction, and will among His people. We believe prayer is essential in developing one’s personal spiritual growth and intimacy with God; in building the Christian’s relationship and dependency upon God; and for interceding in the lives of God’s children in all Nations. We believe it is a sin not to pray and intercede for God’s will among His people. •KEY SCRIPTURES: “He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm, and his justice sustained him.” Isaiah 59:16, NLT. (2 Samuel 22:7; John 17; 1 Samuel 12:23)•Community of Love: We strive to be a Christ-centered community that pursues God (lovers of God) and displays His love by serving one another (lovers of people). We are beneficiaries of His Love. We believe that God’s love is unconditional and loves all people unconditionally. Therefore, we believe that we are called to also love others unconditionally. We believe love is our greatest weapon and is the cure for destroying the kingdom of darkness. We also believe that spiritual maturity is manifested in unconditional love for others, as well as self love which gives us empower to extend compassion, grace, kindness, and patience to others, just as God so loving extends to those who call upon His name. We display this value as we connect with one another in ministry teams, sharing life together, serving others and developing ministries that support healthy families and communities. •Key SCRIPTURE: “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3, NIV ( John 15:17; Romans 12:9-12;1 Corinthians 13; Philippians 2:1-5; 1 Peter 4:8-10)•Discipleship: We are committed to an intentional journey, guiding believers from spiritual birth to maturity. We do this mainly through purposeful relationships. We desire a church-wide culture that expects Christ-likeness in every believer. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we seek to know Him, learn from Him, and follow His example, as we pursue Him with our whole heart, soul, mind, and spirit. We believe we are a catalyst for change and are to reconcile our communities back to God through love, fellowship, grace, and discipleship.•KEY SCRIPTURE: “You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” 2 Timothy 2:2, NIV. (Romans 12;1,2; Matthew 28:19,20)•Missional: We believe every born-again Believer is a missionary and the whole world as our mission field. We are committed to actively and passionately pursuing lost and hurting people, locally and abroad. We seek to create Christians who are globally minded and locally connected. We will do whatever we can to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our local communities and to the world by teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ; feeding the poor, clothing the naked, caring for widows and orphans; and visiting the sick and shut-in.•KEY SCRIPTURES: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 KJV (Matthew 28:18-29; Matthew 22:37-39; Matt 5:13-16)
